Laura Flynn, PsyD

Dr. Flynn earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from Binghamton University, State University of New York, and her doctorate in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University (1997). She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, William S. Hall Psychiatric Institute. Her post-doctoral residency was as a forensic evaluator for Broward County Court Psychology in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Throughout her 22 years of experience as a psychologist, Dr. Flynn has worked in a variety of settings and with children, adolescents, adults, families, and Veterans. She has assessed and treated patients with difficulties ranging from mild adjustment problems to chronic and severe mental illness including mood disorders, psychotic disorders, behavioral problems, personality disorders, and trauma.

Dr. Flynn’s psychotherapy approach focuses on delivering research-based interventions within the context of a warm therapeutic relationship to help patients reach their personal goals. With an ongoing commitment to learning and applying up-to-date knowledge, Dr. Flynn works with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, other emotional dysregulation difficulties, and problematic behaviors. She is dedicated to helping her patients feel seen and understood while working toward change.
